New York – Breathtakingly Beautiful!

New York Like Never Before!

New York Like Never Before!

Due to my auto immune disorder, I try not to step outside too much during the very cold weather that we are currently experiencing.

Still, at least once a day I like to go out onto the balcony from my condo in Brooklyn, where I can see the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge and I feel a sense of peace in its quiet majesty. (more…)

The Decade That Was: A Personal Perspective

Posted on 01 January 2010

THE MOST IMPORTANT DECADE IN MY LIFE TIME.

THE MOST IMPORTANT DECADE OF MY LIFE.

At the age of 36, I can say whole heartedly that this is the decade to remember. It is also, to be fair, the first decade that I can remember most comprehensively.

The 70′s started with my birth in England and I was watching the Muppet show in 1979 at the age of 6, so the big stories of the 1970′ s would have gone over my head, including the the OPEC oil crisis, the Yom Kippur war, Roe VS Wade, Watergate and the end of the Vietnam War. (more…)

GUESS WHEN THIS CARTOON WAS CREATED?

GUESS WHEN THIS CARTOON WAS CREATED?

You may think the cartoon is having a dig at the lapse in security over this weekend. And you would be wrong. This cartoon, courtesy of Cartoon News Magazine.Com is from December 2001, in the aftermath of the Richard Reid fiasco (the shoe bomber) who attempted to detonate explosives hidden in his sneakers on an American Airlines flight from Paris, France, to Miami, Florida. SENATOR REID PLEADS WITH PROGRESSIVES TO ACCEPT HC BILL

SENATOR READ'S PLEA TO PROGRESSIVES: ACCEPT HEALTHCARE BILL

I have learned a lot from the ongoing drama of the health care debate. I’ve learned that the Republican Party is the Party of no. The Party of lies. The Party infatuated with abortion.

I’ve learned that former Democratic Senator Lieberman who had run as  VP in 2000 stabbed Democrats, Obama and Reid in the back and into the heart of real health care reform. (more…)

BRING CHANGE!! ONLY THEN CAN WE BRING HOPE!!

BRING CHANGE!! ONLY THEN CAN WE BRING HOPE!!

The wheeling, the dealing , the arm bending on the left and the right of the Democratic Party, the absolutely disgusting and uncaring fillibuster attempt by the Republican Party – it’s incredible that Senator Reid can talk about a health care bill and for others within his own party to know which one he’s referring to. St Jude’s Hospital

Posted on 05 January 2010

There is nothing more painful for a parent than to see their child suffer. The agony of feeling utterly helpless when he cries in pain is beyond description. The constant and continual fear that your child will be lost before he can receive the treatment that will save him is almost unbearable. Adding impact to [...]

Make A Wish!

Posted on 28 December 2009

Growing up I had always heard of Make A Wish, knew the basic premise of what they did, but never really appreciated what was involved or how and when the charity begun and where it is today. Luckily for me, their website Wish.org provides an extensive biography of the charity and the work it performs. [...]

The Blind Project

Posted on 19 December 2009

This is a story about the best and worst that humanity has to offer. From the depths of cruelty, despair and hopelessness to the freedom of life, liberty and economic self sufficiency. Imagine a world where girls as young as five working a brothel house, having sex with up to thirty paedophiles a night; paedophiles who [...]

Newsweek Needs To Grow Up.

Posted on 17 November 2009

I am no fan of Sarah Palin. I don’t believe that she has any right to be a torchbearer for anything political since giving up the governership of Alaska. Her naked ambitions to run for President are all too apparent, no matter how poorly she attempts to disguise it. Her well timed book publication and its [...]
