Cytoxan Treatment – Again!!

Posted on 25 September 2008

Yes, another six month of chemotherapy coming up, but its not all bad news!!

Overtime I have gradually reduced the huge amounts of steroids that I was prescribed at a rate of 4mg a week.

So tomorrow I celebrate with the weekly drop and will be on 24mg of medrol; down from 96mg three months ago!!

My breathing today is so much more stable and I have managed to stay out of hospital since May – I thank God for this blessing and the six monthly treatments of cytoxin that I started in January and completed in June.  (more…)

Mr Mccain off on another branding exercise

Posted on 25 September 2008

Yes, country first -states Mccain as he declares a halt to his presidential campaign and rushes off to Washington.

This has happened only once before with dire consequences for Jimmy Carter, but then when does history ever tell us that it repeats itself?!

No,more importantly, Mccain sees the oppurtunity to pander to outraged taxpayers, and to stamp the maverick brand yet again, by closing shop, hinting he may not show up for the presidential debate…. (more…)

Care.tv will start caring about a whole lot more…..

Posted on 24 September 2008

As my two previous posts suggest, I’m now going to blog about just about any topic I care about.

Whilst born out of a desire to focus on  purely healthcare related issues, I have come to the conclusion that I want to talk about any issue I feel passionate about; be it healthcare, politics, financial markets, law and order and anything else that I happen to care about.

It gives me more freedom and my viewers more to ponder over!!!

Furthermore, I will soon be announcing details with regard to the expansion of this site. These are exciting times for Care.Tv!!

Dear Oh Dear!!

Mr Paulson and Mr Bernacke are stunned that congress will not rubber stamp a 700,000,000,000 dollar bailout by the tax payers.

Such sums require regulatory oversight, grumble those seeking re-election aswell as those seeking election for president of the USA.

That is all well and good when you have the luxury of time on your side. But credit crunches are like tsunamis – they seek no ones permission to wreak havoc, growing from a small wave out in the middle of the ocean into huge waves that gather in size and speed crashing ashore with devastating consequences…. St Jude’s Hospital

Posted on 05 January 2010

There is nothing more painful for a parent than to see their child suffer. The agony of feeling utterly helpless when he cries in pain is beyond description. The constant and continual fear that your child will be lost before he can receive the treatment that will save him is almost unbearable. Adding impact to [...]

Make A Wish!

Posted on 28 December 2009

Growing up I had always heard of Make A Wish, knew the basic premise of what they did, but never really appreciated what was involved or how and when the charity begun and where it is today. Luckily for me, their website Wish.org provides an extensive biography of the charity and the work it performs. [...]

The Blind Project

Posted on 19 December 2009

This is a story about the best and worst that humanity has to offer. From the depths of cruelty, despair and hopelessness to the freedom of life, liberty and economic self sufficiency. Imagine a world where girls as young as five working a brothel house, having sex with up to thirty paedophiles a night; paedophiles who [...]

Newsweek Needs To Grow Up.

Posted on 17 November 2009

I am no fan of Sarah Palin. I don’t believe that she has any right to be a torchbearer for anything political since giving up the governership of Alaska. Her naked ambitions to run for President are all too apparent, no matter how poorly she attempts to disguise it. Her well timed book publication and its [...]
