Oh Really O’Reilly!!!

Posted on 04 October 2008

Thursday night was supposed to be all about the drama of the VP debate. Would Biden behave himself? Would Palin be able to string a couple of unrehearsed sentences together in english?

Well the real drama of the evening was The O’reilly Factor, an hour before the debate.

Yes, good old Bill takes on the corrupt political establishment for the common man.

The sacrificial lamb in this instance was CongressMan Barney Frank……

I have always had mixed feelings about O’reilly, there are times when you can see he is making a desperate attempt to be impartial and he does raise a lot of charity through the sale of his nick nacks, but he was well out of order with his ranting, raving and name calling towards Barney Frank.

To suggest that Frank put out statements on purpose to mislead the public into buying shares in Mac & Mae is preposterous. And if that was not what Bill was implying, rather that Barney was somehow so inept as to be the cause of the collapse after two terms of republican control of the House is equally preposterous.

Frank may be guilty of nothing more than making a wrong call on Mac & Mae. However, I do not recall Frank ever claiming to be or representing himself as a share tipster. For O’Reillly to suggest that the general public held on to every word that Frank uttered and treated his words as an inside tip is laughable.

What is not funny is for O’reilly to call a congressman a coward on prime time tv, pointing fingers and raising his voice to temper level. Whether or not O’reilly was right, disrespecting the office of a House Representative in such a manner is reprehensable in the extreme.
